How Did Michelle Obama Escape Indictment For Fraud And Corruption?

2002: Michelle Obama is hired by the University of Chicago Hospital as its “Executive Director for Community Affairs” at a salary of $120,000.
2005: Obama is sworn in as a U.S. Senator. Michelle is promoted to “Vice President for Community and External Affairs” and her salary bumped nearly $200,000 (from $121,910 to $316,962). This position was “newly created” for Mrs. Obama.
That’s not a bad increase in pay, but I don’t see the “tie” between her salary being TRIPLED and Barack Obama being sworn in as a Senator do you? I’m betting it was probably just a coincidence. It’s pretty common for state universities to triple the salaries of their employees (sarcasm).
She was responsible for the medical center’s “business diversity program” that involved relationships between the medical center and the community. External affairs? Business diversity? What exactly does this mean? How does this benefit patients? Relationships between the Hospital and the community It’s a state-run hospital. This is a B.S. position made to order. Who dreams these “pretend” jobs up?
2006: Barack Obama requests a $1 million earmark for a new hospital pavilion at the University of Chicago. Again I’m wondering if there is a tie in to Michelle Obama being an employee and her raise or if this isn’t just another convenient coincidence?
2009: Michelle Obama resigns her position at UCH. Her VP position is eliminated and its functions absorbed into another executive’s position. Question: if that work can be folded into another, why was it separate in the first place?

What Are My Husbands Rights?

We just got served a letter that we are being sued for a tractor trailer ( 18 wheeler ) accident that happened in the state of Colorado in the year of 2009. He was not at fault and did not receive a ticket. The truck was company owned and he was on duty when the accident happened. The car had run out of gas, had no hazards on, and was stalled on the off ramp. My husband was slowing from highway speeds when he hit the small dark car and totaled it.The man was lucky that he saw my husband coming and moved to the other side of the car. He walked away from the car accident but in the report they say he’s permanently disfigured and my husband was negligent per se. They are taking the case to a jury trial and it totals over 100k. The company has since gone out of business, but they are also listed on the paperwork. We have contacted a lawyer but it’s late right now. We are also going to be contacting the insurance company. I just want to be able to get a few answers so I might be able to get some sleep.

How Do I Go About Upgrading My Dad’s Business Webpage?

Who I am: I’m in my 4th year at university about to graduate with a B.S. in Energy policy.
I’ve been checking out some cool web designs like this page http://www.michaelnajjar.com/ and I realize that a page such as that probably takes a master programmer. However, I do think that I could conjure the skills to make a better webpage for my father or brother’s business’s (Pool/Spa and Contractor companies). What they have now is pretty remedial with pixelated pictures and all.
What does it take to upgrade a webpage myself? [money, program languages to know, web design tips (websites), anything]
I believe that even though we are in a somewhat rural area (below 100,000) the tech savvy crowd is growing exponentially and as a fun side project I think I could seriously help out my family’s financial situation. (We are one of the fastest growing counties in California)
Thanks for the feedback in advance.

Why Are Some Teenagers So Obnoxious, Ignorant & Immature?

To be very clear I am NOT stereotyping ALL teenagers. There’s just a specific class of adolescents that really annoy me and disappoint society. Again, my views about adolescents that I will explain to you soon does N-O-T apply to ALL teens. Just SOME. Doesn’t matter what gender or race they are. So before you answer this question make sure you read the ENTIRE SHlT that I wrote so you can get what I’m talking about and give me the answer that I need. I hope you won’t complain of how I think of ”bad” teenagers.
I’ll establish 9 reasons from my perspective of what kind of ”bad” teens do and who they are (trust me, I REALLY KNOW what I’m talking about):
1. They don’t care about their education. Teens don’t work hard enough to achieve a good future for themselves. They eventually drop out of high school and live a difficult life later on. They think somehow everything will be okay without a diploma. They don’t worry what will happen to them.
2. They’re ill-behaved. Some teens bully other people and make fun of them. They disrespect people they unreasonably hate. Morals and virtues don’t matter to them that much. Some don’t have manners and are never polite.
If you’re a ”bad” teenager that’s reading this don’t you care of living in a good world where everyone is happy? I mean nothing is perfect but can’t everybody can get along, treat others equally regardless of what their race, gender, sexual orientation or ethnicity is? There is really enough evil everywhere for anybody to suffer. Think of innocent people dying. Imagine how Hell would affect you. Does being or doing evil really accomplish anything or make things better? How you commit a sin might benefit you but doesn’t help anyone in a good way at all.
3. They are lazy. Teens don’t want to work too hard or do some things for themselves. They don’t feel like doing this or doing that because they lack interest or motivation from it. Teens don’t like to do certain chores, errands or duties.
4. Teens are too demanding. They are naggy about what they want and need NOW. Impatience consumes them. ”I want to buy this new phone! I don’t care how much it costs! I will text as much as I want! You are not the boss of me!”
5. Teens break the law and don’t care. Stealing, littering, texting while driving, DWI, vandalism, rape, physical and brutal attacks, murder and drug business. They don’t seriously consider the consequences! Some think they might just easily get away or hide from it. Rules and ethics mean nothing to them. They rebel against the system of society negatively.
6. All they think, do and talk about is sex, sex, sex! They desire to experience the lovely pleasure of it at an early age. Can’t they control their hormones? It’s like they are racing against time to loose their virginity until it’s ”too late” for them. The possibility of STDs don’t bother them. They absolutely love sex and want to have it all the time.
7. Teens dress awful. Especially the women. They dress so slutty in order to absorb and enjoy attention from guys. They also act like whores trying to have as much sex as possible and live the memorable teenage experience. Just who are their role models? What do they idolize or worship? It can actually be quite dangerous if they present themselves this way. Guys will be too rough on them later.
8. The music they listen to is horrible. Overrated artists like Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga, The Jonas Brothers, Rebecca Black, Lil Wayne, Hannah Montana and the list goes on. I believe music really is for everybody and everyone has different tastes, but this just seems unacceptable. It’s sounds God awfully annoying. There is real good music out there. Teens should listen to music that expresses emotions, opinions, and have great beat and rhythm. They don’t have to listen to this mainstream garbage. The kind of music they enjoy are made heartless composers and sold by greedy corporations.
9. Teens crave and struggle to be cool and popular. They want to have as many friends as possible and let everyone focus on themselves. They’re attention seekers/whores that want to be the talk of the talk. Feeling so insecure and unwanted, they try to impress people by changing everything about themselves. They think what’s unique about them is weird. They believe that their own interests and hobbies don’t match others. They take drastic measures to alter themselves while completely ruining who they really are. Low self-esteem are causing teens do this. It’s sad, honestly. Be who you are and thrive in life how you want to.
Some teens, as the ones I have described above, these days are destroying society. This generation is having a negative influence upon everyone. Their psychology is just totally abys

Okay… I Have To Vent. I Am Upset. I Asked This Q Before. I Am (trying) To Adopt A 4 Yr. Old Dog >> See Below?

The woman seemed very nice over the phone. I thought she had a small rescue and its rather a large sized group of dogs and puppies. I understand its Valentines Day. She may be busier then usual with her business then maybe has plans. But.. can anyone sympathize with me here?
I am an adult female who lost one of my dogs in Dec. I have a 12 yr. old dog. I am a great dog owner and lover. I had to fill out an application on line. It was brief. Basically she was going to call the Vet this morning. She knew I wanted this dog. I told her in an email the dog would be loved and are treated like family. I just thought.. it would be nice if the dog could be homed with me for Valentines Day. Because for women its a special day. That is not the reason I wanted her or anything like that. Someone before told me this woman should not be hoarding her rescues but should be tripping over her shoes to get this dog and others into a good loving home. The dog is spayed and has all its shots and is not free or cheaply handed over either. I would have to pay 225.00. She does not ask you if you could afford the dog or ask for a reference which I could have provided to her. She never phoned me today. Now.. I feel like I am getting the run around or brush off/avoidance. She called at 1:00 and she never even left a message. It does not take long to say your approved come down this week for your dog or whenever you can. Or.. to shoot me a fast email. I think this is so.. wrong. She knows how bad I want this dog. She has at least 100 pups and dogs. Its not like she is handling 4 or 5. These dogs and pups need love and to be out of the kennel atmosphere. The man who answered before said she is why people still purchase pets. That she is not trying to place this dog . I am no weirdo by far. I told her I am willing to pick the dog up. She is not getting back to me.. I am so upset please help me deal with this and understand.
This dog.. I fell in love with. She reminds me of my dog that died. I treat my dogs above and beyond what many people do.
This is so.. wrong. IF she denies me .. I am going to loose it on her big time! She is not acting like a business. Now.. I feel bad for all the applicants and dogs in her care. But.. I have to bite my tongue.. FOR NOW. Thanks

Does Anyone Recognize This Film?

so there’s this movies that i watched when i was younger that has stuck with for many years. but i can’t remember the title. if anyone recognizes this film plot can they tell me the title.
so from what i can remember: there’s an airplane with a bunch of passengers and it goes through a storm (or something). everyone on the plane disappears (but all there stuff and clothes is still there) except for a few people (they didnt for some reason but i can’t remember). so the remaining people land the plane at an airport, and the airport is completely empty. . there’s some kind of creature/creatures that made everyone disappear. they realize that there in some kind of alternate universe(or something) and they end up going through a worm hole and get back to their universe, but one of them get left behind. (side note: i remember that there was a business man that tore paper when he got nervous and ended up going mad)
i know it’s not much to go on. i know i watched it in 2003/2004 on tv, it was dubbed in french (or it might have been a french film but i doubt it). anyway if you can think of any film that vaguely resembles what i wrote please reply. thanks

English Help!!!!! Writing A Letter ?!?

Letter One – Imagine you are a mature age university student. You have two young children and also work 30 hours a week. The train journey is valuable time which can be used for studying and catching up on required reading. Write a letter arguing that use of mobile phones for conversations should be banned on public transport. Perhaps mobile phone use on trains should be for texting only.
Letter Two – Imagine you are a business person who commutes to the city each day from Geelong. Write a letter arguing that mobile phones use should be allowed on public transport.
Before you get started read through this selection of view points on the issue of mobile phone bans on trains from the BBC News website forum and the article that follows
Talking Point Contents: Forum
Why do people insist on getting so easily annoyed by others using mobile phones on trains and buses? Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for restricting their use in cinemas, theatres, quiet sporting events, when driving and in museums. But what is the problem with a passenger on a bus or train, or in a car using their phone? Are people really that irritable? It’s no different than two people having a conversation in person. Neil, UK
To all those who maintain that mobile phones are no louder than people having conversations on the train – NO! Not only do we have to tolerate loud piercing ring tones but the people using these phones seem to want to demonstrate that the person on the other end of the call could hear them without the phone. If you persist in using these monstrosities, be discreet about it. Turn down the ring tone and stop shouting. Alan, London. UK
As a lone female traveller, and especially when travelling late at night, I find my mobile phone reassuring and invaluable. Maria, England
Mobile call usage should be banned in some public places; notably, on trains, in restaurants, on buses, in cinemas, and in theatres, Mobile call usage should be banned whilst driving and anywhere near me. The inconsiderate and ubiquitous use of these devices is at best irritating and at worst anti-social or even dangerous. Why is it that people must spend their time talking interminable rubbish to people they have just seen, are just about to see or will see tomorrow! Please, some consideration and courtesy for others, who don’t want to hear about your day, your dinner, your angst or who said what to whom. Jacob Johnson, England
Sydney goes Tokyo: Move to ban mobile phones from train carriages
Australian governments are following the Japanese cultural taboo and initiating quiet zones on trains
6 June, 2011
Should people stop talking on this CityRail train at Circular Quay?
A
nyone who has caught a train around central Tokyo knows the biggest cultural taboo is to start yapping away on your mobile phone.
Vomiting salarymen on late night trains aside, Tokyo journeys are largely a silent experience.
It seems this cultural trend is spreading southward.
Queensland Rail has already introduced quiet zones on the first and last carriages of all trains. In Sydney, CityRail is considering following suit.
The New South Wales Transport Minister, Gladys Berejiklian, said she will “definitely consider” introducing quiet carriages on CityRail services.
If it follows the Queensland initiative, quiet zones would ban music and loud conversations — as well as mobile phone conversations. No fine would be issued for those not adhering to the ban.
Cynics might see the move as an attempt to divert political attention from Sydney’s notoriously late, under-funded and unreliable train network.
But could it possibly work? Would youths stop drinking beer and holding spray-paint cans, and choose the eastern way to fulfillment? Are Sydneysiders that Zen?
Or is the search for serenity overstepping the mark when conversations are banned on trains?
