focus on business faqs and small business

I am currently unemployed and a full time student. I do various I.T. service work and usability testing, but those business ventures are too small to rely on as I had been working full time up until recently. Thus, I am reliant on my better half, the savings accounts, and other means to put food on the table. I know that the vast vast majority of “Internet Survey” sites are fraudulent or spamming sites (some spam is ok, if it means decent payment.) I thought they all were, until a game showed me one that I have is helping me pay for an online game I am playing. It got me interested because I am listening to radio ads and giving feedback and input; and earning roughly $2 for 5-10 minutes of my time.
I am trying to sort through all the BS sites that are out there. I am looking for legitimate sites that I can fill out consumer survey’s for money. I know I am not going to get rich off of this, and I am not expecting to make a career out of this. It would be helpful to have a little extra cash every month to help put food on the table until the business ventures do better OR I get another job. I would gladly commit 15 minutes of my time for $2.50+ 5 minutes for $0.75+ . You are also welcome to say this is a pointless idea as well. Information about personal experiences is a plus.
I am willing to share information about myself for advertising purposes with the exception of health information; and a few other private matters. I will select a best answer so long as there is at least one serious attempt to answer this question. This is my first question on yahoo answers.

I am actually working overseas and in a new environment. I know it does take time to get to know people and make friends. However I am on an international assignment for only 3 months. I am new to the place and want to make some friends. However 2 weeks has gone and I am feeling unable to make kind conversation with people.
I have my superior and he is very friendly. Yet I am not being able to start light conversation with him. The only conversations we have relates to business and our work.
Please help coz I really want to make friends.

I’m 19 years old . & haven’t spoken to my dad in 2 years .
I was always the one reaching out to my dad even when I was younger ! & would stop speaking to him because he’s just sooo stupid to me !the last time we stopped speaking was because he was going to buy me a car ,but I didn’t like it and felt I deserved more !my stepmom is a bitxh ! he treats her daughter like his child and totally disregards my two brothers and I ! .
out of my stepsister and two brothers I was the only one who graduated HS the normal way & got accepted to really great 4 yr universities, the other 3 attended adult school because they were far behind & go to trade schools. 2 years ago my stepsister got into nursing school and they brought her a freaking bentley !!!!
my dads super rich , hes a federal agent that works for ICE& that brings in $150,000+ a year then him and my aunt own a business that helps ppl who are losing their homes & that brings in about 1.3million a year that they split .for my car I wanted a dodge challenger , simple rite !? well I would think so but my stepmom told my dad not to buy it for me ! so like the bitxh he is , he listened . I forgot to mention they have lamborghinis , ferraris & other luxury cars which one car note is 5,000$ . so I would say I was being pretty reasonable asking for a damn dodge !!! my stepmom can’t have kids anymore so I think she’s jealous , because she always comes between my dad and I . when my dad told me no abt the car it was via text so I called him & that’s when my stepmom got on the phone & started cursing me out calling me all kinda of names , so I did the same & was in tears because I know my dad was rite there and didn’t say anything !shes just really bitter , and jealous of my mom also & I know this because while she was cursing me out we she kept repeating ” jackie(my moms name)I know this is you ” . i was recently asked by a friend of mine ( who’s doesnt how to observe boundary i think). i said i a half joking kind of voice ” the answer to that question would be , maybe and none of your business”.
i wondered whether i was being too harsh.
how would you respond in this situation?

I am a Business student and I am drawing near my time to choose a concentration, but i don’t know which area to concentrate in. Personality wise i am considered an ISTJ however i do sometimes enjoy socializing with others.I am a good communicator and i enjoy organizing and planning things. I am also quite artistic with an interest in literature, reading, writing, speaking, and also the fine arts. Accounting does not appeal to me an i am not very mathematically and technologically inclined.

“Sorry, dear, but I don’t think you’ll fit,” my mother said, ushering each guest into their chair. “Why don’t you go sit at the kid’s table? Your cousins sure love you.” I rolled my eyes microscopically but did not protest. A blind eye was turned to my exit from the dining room as I strode towards the table where several of my little cousins sat, coloring busily. I mumbled a quick “hi” before sitting down, and a few of them even deigned to acknowledge me before continuing to color.
It was obviously serious business, the coloring. At family parties, there were several jobs that needed fulfillment in order for the night to go smoothly; smoothly, meaning that the adults would have fun while the children kept quiet. The little kids would be coaxed into sitting at the table in the family room, and then would be handed sufficient supplies to color. This part was essential, as it encouraged relatively silent entertainment and kept the kids from discovering the real party. The job of the adults was basically to drink alcohol, and to laugh and talk at a volume that was obnoxiously loud. This ensured that every conversation was audible throughout the entire house. I endured this behavior because family gatherings were one of the only times in which they could be truly blissfully ignorant of their lives, under the influence of alcohol, of course.
My job this year, being sixteen, should have been to finally grace the presence of the adults with my constant hilarity and unique charm. Of course, that was anything but the case. My premeditated conversation starters as well as my charming smile would be wasted on the kid’s table yet again.
Laughter erupted in the dining room, causing me to lose my train of thought. I used this as an excuse to walk back to the grown-up table and ask what all the commotion was, only to be rejected by my drunken uncle. “Just a little joke. Might be a bit too risqué for your ears to hear, kiddo.” My mother nodded her head in agreement and nonchalantly took another sip of her wine. The blood red color stained her upper lip before she dabbed the spot with a white napkin. The napkin was placed back onto the table, and a burgundy stain took the place of the previously white corner.
I placed the cheesy remnants from my macaroni dinner into the dishwasher, and assisted the more drunk guests with their plates and utensils. My dad began cutting too many slices of pumpkin pie, like he always did, and my mother waited for the coffee to finish brewing. She poured it into a few mugs and I helped her with serving it to the guests. I placed milk, cream, sugar, and artificial sweetener on the dining room table, allowing for everyone to dilute their poison in whatever way they chose to. It intrigued me that people drank coffee in the morning to make themselves more alert and awake, only to dull their senses with alcohol late at night.
I watched my mother accompany the more drunk relatives out the front door with their designated drivers for a while, but got bored and went back inside to clean up. A crystal glass caught my eye as I entered into the dining room. It was half full with expensive wine I had heard everyone talking about earlier. I lifted it up from the table and gazed into the rich, burgundy color. The sweet, almost perfume-like aroma filled my nostrils and enticed me. Succumbing to my temptation, I let the liquid rise to my closed lips until finally parting them slightly, allowing the smooth taste to slide down my throat. I savored the lingering aftertaste in my mouth.
I know it’s not perfect, but it took awhile to finally write well and I’d be happy with any constructive criticism.

There’s this great house we wanted, turns out the day people went through the owners accepted an offer in the afternoon. We were going to put ours in the next morning…too late! But anyways, that was almost two months ago now and the house is still up for sale.
We keep getting different responses from the agent, first he said that the inspection was happening on the 31st of January, and then he said the deal was supposed to close on the 15th of February. The photo is stlil up and the house still looks available. He doesn’t respond to my inquiries, even though I only tried twice….so I use my husbands name and email and he’s been responding to him.
However he told our agents that the buyers are happy with the deal and that it may be a relative that is buying the house but not getting everything together.
If it’s such a done deal why don’t they take the house off of mls?
It’s frustrating, it’s perfect for us. Anyways….I don’t understand how this real estate business works, I figured they’d just take the listing off.
