   Liberals are not all Democrats and Conservatives are not all Republicans. To clarify that point first. I’m sorry that this is the way things are in America. It reminds me of WW II with the Japanese. You have a group who performed an act that changed everything, and brought themselves as the focal point for mistrust. I’m not a broad brush person, but Muslim terrorist made an entire community suspect. Plus, Italian-Americans getting the same kind of attention because of criminal activities or the new Russians and El Salvadorian immigrants being in that same boat. Lots of groups and not just Muslims are being watched. White supremacist are another group. It sucks, but there are lots of people who want to do things to hurt law adiding people. Do you wait until something bad happens or find a way to head it off before people are hurt.
   People say “Freedom isn’t free”. That is a lie. “Freedom is free. The preservation of freedom is what comes with costs”. I don’t care if the 60 page report from the Associated Press was reported. What I want to know is if innocent law abiding Muslims were hurt by the surveillance. If the answer is no, and you just don’t like being watched…welcome to the world I grew-up in as a black male in America. It sucks, but it is not totally without merit. I get lumped in with the thugs who do bad things. If doing this prevents another underwear or Time Square bombing attempt, then you have my apologies, but the only thing that will change this is time and help in getting the people who do horrible things in the name of religion. I understand your opposition, but for the forseeable future this is going to be the norm.
