How Good Is This Genius Idea To Convert Homosexuals To Christianity?

By business answers Posted in: business university

Here is my analogy comparing homosexuality to gravity:
A government campaign is started to redefine gravity. Supporters think it’s “not fair that gravity only goes in one direction” or “I think gravity can go in many directions”. Even though many people may support this claim gravity still remains. People who see the value of gravity the way it is are seen as “gravity bullies” in schools. The courts rule to redefine gravity, leading to schools teaching what the law demands. Some parents object but most are bullied into going along. The government orders cars and planes meet the new gravity regulations but people find them “confusing”. University professors who deny new gravity are forced out and any business who denies the new gravity is taken to court.
Many people today say truth is what ever works for you to avoid conflict, but some things are true no matter what you think, because gravity remains.

All my gay friends are active Christians and one is a minister, so how can you convert them ?

I am Christian. I have no idea what to think of your “metaphor.” Romans 1:16-17 states, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” The gospel works only on those who believe. The gospel converted a murderer of Christians. The gospel converted a wealthy publican to give up his opulet life. The gospel converted Romans soldiers and emperors. Today, I seen the gospel convert adulterers, repair bad marriages, convert drug addicts, and homosexuals. So, I say yes, homosexuals can be converted. However, even when Christ, Himself, was here on earth, not all believe. Many will not believe today. Yet, Christians must do those things that are right unto The Father.

You make this strange assumption that homosexuality is some new thing, when it’s existed in every culture since the beginning of recorded history, and exists in many animals as well.
I believe a more proper analogy is the anti-homosexuals demanding that gravity laws be changed to only pull towards middle america, and if gravity pulls towards any other place it’s wrong and should be outlawed, and people affected by that “other” gravity are sinning against the laws of science.

you sound idiotic. first of all I hate when people put homosexuality and christianity together. Theyre different. I’m an episcopalian and that is christian and we support homosexuality 100%. Gays are priests in our churches and they can get married if its legal in that state. second of all youre analogy is invalid. Gravity is a proven thing. Marriage is not, marriage is not proven that it is only OKAY between a man and a woman that was set by a prehistoric society based on a book written by ignorant people.

How good? It’s pretty horrible. Gravity is a physical phenomenon which we have already characterized through Newton’s equations and eventually Einstein’s relativistic corrections. It has nothing to do with human rights. Allowing people the freedom to love who they want to is completely different and should be a basic right.

Why don’t the supporters of homosexuality think all sexual sins are born that way and need government PC protection?
    Pedophilia
    Adultery
    lust
    fornication
    bestiality
    etc,
    How about:
    liars
    thieves
    murderers
    etc.?

I think you’re confused. Your argument seems to undermine your point. Homosexuality is natural, and will remain no matter how much you whine about it and cry that you don’t have free reign to bully people.

  8. Kali Topoma Says

what the hell does gravity have to do with christianity and homosexuality? Your plan wouldn’t work because despite its many flaws no one in today’s government is stupid enough to go through with such a plan.

    fallacy detected:useless and irrelevant analogy
marriage is culture based and has no accurate definition. the only definition is “legal or cultural union of people”

and so does the fact that those who practice this gay behavior are lost till they stop sinning Galatians 5;19-21 Revelation 21;8

Anyone with the surname Weiner shouldn’t talk smack abut homosexuals.

  12. your great granpa Says

You are of course assuming that gravity will always exist.

That is the worst comparison I have ever read, and i’ve heard some pretty stupid comparisons in my time.

    gravity sucks

What I can’t figure out is why the wind always blows, it never sucks. This doesn’t make a damn bit of sense.

The only thing you converted was your path towards heaven to eternity in hell with your intolerance, hatred, bigotry, homophobia and persecution of god’s children!
Anglican leaders from around the world reiterated their opposition to the “victimisation or diminishment” of gays and lesbians, saying demonising and persecuting them was “totally against Christian charity and basic principles of pastoral care”.
“We say that no one should have to live in fear because of the bigotry of others.”
The mormons poured millions into forcing through prop 8 in CA: to ban gay marriage. In August 2010 the court held that to be unconstitutional. On 15 June 2011 the San Francisco court upheld that decision because it violates the constitutional rights of citizens. On 7 February 2012 the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals struck the California law again finding that the California state constitution banning same-sex marriage violated principles of due process and equal protection under the law.
The court found that the ban violates equality laws to target a minority group and withdraw a right that it possessed, without a legitimate reason for doing so. Proposition 8 serves no purpose, and has no effect, other than to lessen the status and human dignity of gays and lesbians in California. The constitution simply does not allow for laws of this sort.
It is now awaiting the Supreme Court verdict which is expected to uphold the early court decision.
If that happens then gay marriage will become legal everywhere and that will be marriage and not civil partnership!
The loving god works in mysterious ways.
